Hi! Nice to meet you if we haven’t met already and hello again if we have.

My name is Francie Ebert, and I’m a recent college graduate excited to begin my career in the news industry. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of words and the stories that shape our world. Journalism has given me an incredible opportunity to understand the relationships, events, and lives that define our society.

I aspire to one day work on Capitol Hill or even internationally, but for now, my focus is on succeeding today. My next chapter begins as an  NBC News Associate, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the journey ahead. (I’ll share updates as I step into and grow within this role.)

Reaching this pivotal point in my life would not have been possible without the unwavering support of so many along the way. Throughout college, I immersed myself in numerous organizations and pursued opportunities driven by a passion for community and storytelling. Over the past four years, I’ve attended industry summits and completed six internships, gaining hands-on experience in production, editing, writing, and on-air reporting with various news outlets and sectors.

While my heart is firmly rooted in journalism, I also dream of one day starting a business centered on my art. It’s a step-by-step process, but there’s nothing quite like pursuing something you love.

My Education PATH

Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications
I have always known I wanted to be a reporter, driven by a desire to make the truth accessible to all and to give a voice to underrepresented communities.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Minor

In addition to my passion for writing, connecting, and covering stories, I aspire to start my own business and learn the qualities of an effective business leader. This minor helps me understand business analysis, sales, and financial management, essential skills for any field.

Digital Media Trends and Analytics - Minor
Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications
DMTA is a rapidly growing sector of the communications industry. This minor enables me to understand key industry segments, including analytics, SEM, social media, and digital media sales and marketing.
